Rehabilitation Services

LARIS Rehabilitation is a full service rehabilitation vendor providing comprehensive vocational services to persons with disabilities on behalf of employers, insurance carriers and attorneys. Vocational assessment and counseling services are also available to non-disabled individuals. Services are often utilized in workers’ compensation cases, liability proceedings, and divorce cases or other situations requiring an assessment of an individual’s vocational or educational potential, career related interests and vocational options. LARIS Rehabilitation is located at Silvernail Village in Pewaukee, located in Waukesha County, WI. Services are provided throughout Wisconsin.

The goal of rehabilitation intervention is to facilitate the re-employment of disabled or seriously ill individuals. Re-employment in this context may include: 1) return to work with the employer at the time of illness/injury onset with or without job modification; 2) return to work with a new employer.

healing Medical Case Management

Medical case management services are designed to assist individuals in achieving maximum medical improvement as soon as possible. Rehabilitation nurses and case managers coordinate medical care through on-going communication with physicians, therapists, other medical service providers, employers and the injured person.

work Getting Back To Work

After securing a medical authorization for return to work, every attempt is made to return the individual to the original employer. Only when it is determined that the original employer is unable to reasonably accommodate the worker are job placement attempts initiated in the open market or retraining issues considered.

Throughout the entire process, the injured person’s vocational assets and limitations are being identified and documented through aptitude, ability and interest testing as well as transferable skills analysis.
